The room and the track: the raw tune-out count is the room, the track is a residual

Cumulative gross tune-outs over the average track's first twelve scored plays, drawn against the ambient rate the surrounding hour was shedding anyway (the room). This is not one track: every track's first twelve plays are averaged across the whole catalog. The two curves are nearly the same line; what the meter reads is the small residual left after the room is subtracted.
